Government Programs

If COBRA runs out or is not an option, there are still affordable choices funded by the government. For example, the Children's Health Insurance Program (or CHIP, a Medicaid program for children), is an option that, depending on your income, you can use just to cover your child. There are also coverage options for veterans, those with chronic health conditions and for other special groups. You do not have to fall through the coverage cracks.
